Sedation Dentist
Serving Dallas, University Park, Plano, Fort Worth, and Surrounding Areas
Sedation dentistry is when you are given a mild sedative before your procedure, so you will be very relaxed and comfortable when Dr. Strader works on you.
Sleep dentistry is when you are totally unconscious during the procedure. It involves an anesthesiologist and the use of an IV.
Dr. Strader does not use sleep dentistry. The administration of an IV is an unnecessary risk for most dental procedures. Sedation dentistry is a safer, equally effective way to alleviate your dental fears.
The two forms of sedation are either a pill or a gas. Both methods do not render you unconscious, but they do make you completely relaxed. For more information, please visit our Sedation Dentistry procedure page.
